Zurich is a stunningly beautiful city that sits on both sides of the River Limmat. It’s a charming old town, full of beautifully restored historic buildings and narrow, hilly alleys. In the distance, snow-clad peaks overlook the waters of the lake, and turn-of-the-century mansions dominate the shores. One of the world's leading financial centers the Zürich stock exchange is the fourth largest. The city's museums and galleries, and the luxuries available in shops confirm the city's position as Switzerland's spiritual, if not political, capital.

 

Parking areas are clearly marked. a disk is provided in rental cars or available from various outlets must be placed clearly in the front window noting the time of arrival. Taxis are very expensive. The tram service is swift and always on time runs every six minutes at peak hours, every 12 minutes at other times.
 

Unique Zürich Airport is located 11 km (7miles) north of Zurich,is Switzerland's main airport. The Airport Shuttle runs roughly every half hour to a series of downtown hotels. Taxis cost can be expensive. It’s easy to take a Swiss Federal Railways train directly from the airport to the main station.
