Tucson feels like a small town. This college town has a Native American, Hispanic, and Anglo cultural influence. Set at the base of Sentinel Peak, which was a black volcanic rock. Mount Lemmon and Saguaro National Park border the town. The city centre has some pleasurable restaurants and an attractive nightlife. 340 days of sunshine makes for loads of outdoor activities. There are world-class golf resorts, art museums, galleries, a national park, a national forest, and other natural areas just beyond the city limits.

Rates for vehicle hire are fairly economical and parking fees are low. The Old Pueblo Trolley is a fun way to travel even though they don’t go to far. City Express Transit operates three free downtown-area shuttles. Downtown Tucson is compact and easily explored on foot. The bus system does not travel to all the tourist attraction hence is of limited use to visitors.

Tucson International Airport is situated 14km (9 miles) south of Tucson city centre with only 1 terminal. Transport facilities from the airport include taxis, buses, shared minibuses or car hire. Although off-site parking, has become a better alternative with a 24-hour shuttle bus, every 15 minutes to this car park.
