The mood in Tampa is one of the most attractive things about the city; it is a lively upbeat place and the business centre of the west coast. Adding to its appeal is Ybor City, where the heart of the cigar industry used to beat, and is now Tampa’s National Historic Landmark District. The thriving shopping, dining, and entertainment scene is set in a bygone architectural era, with wrought iron balconies and globe streetlights.

Greyhound buses stop at 610 Polk St, and trains arrive at 601 N Nebraska Ave N. The local bus service run by HART run around town and Ybor city. Taxis and car rental are available. For a taste of yesteryear a restored trolley runs every half hour on a circuit that takes in Tampa and Ybor City.

Tampa International Airport is located five miles out of the city with the local HART bus service being the most cost effective connection to Tampa. The nearby St Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport also serves Tampa. Both airports host international carriers, and domestic airlines.
