 The Shanghai Metro is clean and efficient and line 1 runs from the main train station at Renmin Park, line 2 runs from Zhongshan in the north to Pudong. Local buses, taxis, car and bicycle rental are all available for ground transport and a ferry will carry you over the river.

Pudong International Airport is located 45km east of the city along the mouth of the Yangzi River and the old Honggiao Airport is located 15km west. Buses and taxis serve the airports.
