San Diego has many walking neighbourhoods. Bicycles, vehicles are for rent in most areas. Bicycles are permitted on ferries and trolley cars. Restriction on car bike racks varies from weekdays to weekends. Other means of getting around is via taxis, water taxis, boat, ferry, train, trolley and bus. While it's possible to get around by public transportation, having your own car is a big advantage.
 

San Diego International Airport/Lindbergh Field is named after aviation hero Charles Lindbergh. It is serviced by national, regional, and international airlines. The airport is located 3km (2 miles) northwest of San Diego. Free shuttle is provided between terminals. Transport from the airport varies from car rental, taxis, and bus shuttle. Cruise reservations are met at the airport by cruise ship representatives.
