Horse-drawn coaches from a time long past will provide a romantic if expensive ride, and taxis will take you where you want to go… for a price! For the more practical folk Quebec offers a reasonable priced and efficient bus service. All the major car rental agencies are available, and for the energetic there are bicycles available for hire, and a network of paths for their use. Beside the bus terminal on Rue Abraham Martin, is the Gare du Palais, the most central of Québec City’s train stations which carries passengers to Montreal and beyond. Ferries also operate across the St. Lawrence River docking at Place Royale on the North shore and Levis on the south.
