Pittsburgh lies between the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers which meet to form the Ohio River, Previously know as the "Smoky City” but as most of the steel company’s have gone, so has the pollution. The architectural varies from 20th century masterpieces to modern skyscrapers. There are various outdoor activities on the rivers and in the parks to dining at captivating restaurants. Two Cable cars carry passengers from river level to the top of Mt. Washington, which has a magnificent view of the city.

 

A small and tourist-friendly town, it is easy to explore on foot, though the hills can be steep. Port Authority Transit operates free daily buses and trolley services within the central business district and the subway, called the “T”. Car rental rates vary from weekdays to weekends.
 

Pittsburgh International located 15 miles southwest of the town, a 20-minute drive by car. Airport Express offers shuttle service to various neighborhoods. Car rental is inexpensive. A Motor coach or vans services the major downtown hotels. Or make use of the taxis service.
