Phoenix's is the seventh-largest city in the USA, known as the world’s largest small town. Located in the Valley of the Sun, averages 330 days of sunshine a year. Although lacking in culture and history, advantages are the load of activities, which range from golfing on competitive courses, tennis, and hiking on well-travelled trails. Sites to see are Monument Valley, The Grand Canyon, Canyon de Cheklly, The Petrified Forrest, The White Mountains, Old West towns and Salt River Canyon. As southwestern cuisine was born here, there are plenty of high-quality restaurants plus lots of entertainment centres.

It best to have a car due to the size of Phoenix. Plenty of free parking is available outside the city centre. First-rate vehicles are for hire ranging from Jeeps to Motorcycles at reasonable rates. The price of a taxi ride can be quite high due to the vastness of the area. The public bus system is not tourists friendly. A free Downtown Shuttle bus service is available.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, located in the centre of Phoenix. As limited luggage is enforced be prepared for long lines and stringent security checkpoints. A free, wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus service departs every seven minutes between the terminals and the car parks. Transports from the airport includes, taxis, and car rental.
