This is a city that has seen great tragedy and has the built the Oklahoma City National Memorial in recognition of the havoc wreaked on its population by Timothy McVeigh in 1995, but life does go on and there is more to the city than sadness. With over 2,000 oil wells, almost as many fine churches, calling to attention the fact that this is ‘Bible belt’, museums, a zoo, and lively festivals and fairs, to name a few attractions of this city that has been around since April 22, 1889.
