| Clogs, canals and cannabis, for some this is the indelible image of Holland. For others it is the enduring beauty of fields of tulips, mad Van Gogh and his paintings, bicycles and wide expanses of greenery where only quaint old windmills break the horizon. The Netherlands has a policy of peace and goodwill to others, and is an open-minded, liberal country with a strong belief in human rights.
