The Old State House where Bill Clinton announced his bid for presidency on 3rd October 1991 and later made his acceptance speech is located in Little Rock, which is not only the geographical centre of Arkansas, but also the political and financial hub. Belying its strategic importance in the affairs of the state Little Rock has a peaceful, friendly atmosphere.

 

Greyhound buses arrive at 118 E Washington Ave and Amtrak trains on Markham and Victory streets. Taxis are available but they are not hailed from the street, and must be called by phone. Car Rental companies operate in Little Rock, and taxi and shuttle service are accessible from the airport.
 

Little Rock National Airport is served by 10 airlines with jet service to main airports throughout the USA. Taxi and shuttle service is provided at the airport, as well as vehicle hire by Budget and Hertz.
