The nightlife of this city is famous, possibly due to its large student population, but Leeds has more to offer than boozing by the barrel. It also has fine Victorian architecture, pedestrian only streets, and some of the finest shopping in England.

Metro buses service most of the city and suburbs. Trains from King’s Cross stop at Leeds City Station, which is also from where the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle line takes passengers on a scenic journey through the countryside.

Leeds-Bradford airport is located about 5km (8mi) north of Leeds and a coach service conveys passengers to town. Taxis are also available.
