Kansas city is famous for its stockyards. It has more working fountains than any city but Rome. A fountain of some sort is integrated into the design of nearly all commercial building, giving Kansas City its nickname: "The City of Fountains.” The City is vibrant and diverse and maintains a healthy mixture of art and agriculture, sports and technology, cowboys and haute couture. Kansas City is famous for its steaks, barbecue, jazz, rich frontier history, and unique attractions.

A car is extremely useful in Kansas City; although the downtown is compact. Attractions are located throughout the city. Otherwise, The "Downtowner Shuttle," is very convenient for visitors. Metro bus service operates a network of city buses throughout the two-state metropolitan area.

Kansas City International Airport is located 32km northwest of Kansas City with 3 terminals. It is served by major domestic airlines. Transport to and from the city is via Shuttle buses; taxi, car rental or a bus service is available.
