Centred in Indiana and the capital of the state, Indianapolis is known as the Crossroads of America, where four interstate freeways and four federal highways meet. With over a 100 public parks, including the Eagle Creek Park, one of America’s largest municipal parks at 1,800 hectares, and playing host to the annual state fair at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indianapolis is a great place for the outdoors. This prosperous and expanding city is also known for its heritage of jazz and blues music from the black migrants from the south, and the world famous Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, the world’s largest single-day sporting event.

 

Amtrak Station provides excellent rail connections to the rest of the country, and IndyGo Transit buses serves Indianapolis with regular and express buses. The Blue Line Circulator takes passengers to all the shopping, dining and nightlife of the city, and Greyhound/Trailways Bus Lines bus terminal is located at 350 S. Illinois Street, and provides bus service throughout the United States.
 

Indianapolis International Airport Is located about 12 miles outside the city, and is served by many airlines with links to all areas of USA and the rest of the world. The Ground Transportation Center provides information about buses, taxis, limousines, and hotel courtesy vehicles.
