
| INDIANA still displays an easygoing attitude of the South. The nation is the forefront in automobile racing and high school basketball. There are some beautiful dunes and beaches. One can find the largest Amish settlement in and around Elkhart and Goshen. The central plains are scattered with small market towns, except for the capital, Indianapolis, which has enhanced its downtown in recent years. Columbus exhibits a great collection of contemporary architecture. There are Galleries and Museums galore from James Dean Memorial in Fairmont to the Studebaker National Museum in the South Bend.
