Hartford has a large number of colossal buildings to name a few the gold-domed capitols, the High Victorian Mark Twain House, and the Wadsworth Atheneum. A civic centre, which is connected by a flyway to the 39-story City Place and the 489-seat Hartford Stage Company, both venues offer concerts and art exhibits. A block away, is the Old State House. They’re a few cosmopolitan restaurants and a couple of good hotels. A drive in fall through the rolling hills, along the state's back roads is a memorable experience.

Connecticut Transit provides a bus service throughout the greater Hartford area. Hartford is a small city, and most attractions, restaurants, hotels are concentrated in the downtown area or nearby, so parking the car, and walking may be the most convenient.

Bradley International Airport, in Windsor Locks, about 12 miles north of the city, is served by several major airlines Buses, cabs, and limousines shuttle passengers into the city and to other points in the state. Taxi and Limousines offer a door-to-door service.
