Work or play, Dublin is the place to be. It gets the vote as Europe's trendiest, and coolest city. Elegant shops and hotels, galleries, art-house cinemas, coffeehouses, and a stunning variety of restaurants have sprung up on almost every street in the capital. The River Liffey, divides the capital into "north side" and "south side," and almost all the major sights in the area are well within an hour's walk of one another.

Dublin by public transportation is easy, although a car is useful for the outlying suburbs. There is an extensive network of buses. Museumlink is a shuttle service that links up various museums, Car rentals can be expensive or rent a bicycle to get around.

Dublin Airport located 10 km (6 mi) north of the city centre, serves international and domestic airlines. Dublin Bus operates the Airlink shuttle service between Dublin Airport and the city centre; Journey time is normally 30 minutes. A taxi is a quicker alternative than the bus.
