Known as ‘the Mile High City’ and “Sports Town USA.’ It is situated at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Attractions are the grave of Buffalo Bill, the Coors Brewing Company, and Denver Zoo. The Victorian Lower area called by locals ‘LoDo’, extends from skid row to the entertainment area, with galleries, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Beyond the city there are many parks providing miles of wilderness for camping, back packing and exploring, while in the Rocky Mountains there is skiing and opportunities for hiking and mountain biking.

"The Ride." operates a bus and a light-rail system, free transfer tickets available. Free buses run up and down 16th Street Mall between the Civic Centre and Market Street. The city boasts two beautiful stretches of paved bike paths. Taxis can be hailed on the street, though it's preferable to telephone for a taxi or wait for one at a taxi stand. On weekends, however, hailing a taxi can be difficult when the bars close down for the night. Other facilities are car/limousine for hire.

Denver International is located 37km northeast of central Denver, a 35- to 45-minute drive. Jeppesen terminal is linked with pedestrian tunnels and walkways. Serviced by major national and international airlines. Trains from the airport leave every 2-3 minutes into the city. Taxis, charters buses, car hire and luxury limousines are also available transport.
