| CONNECTICUT is a fascinating state. The nation's second-smallest state can be colonized yet rural. Its size and variety makes it useful to home scholars since its resources are close by. While parts are congested with humanity, some areas are empty and undeveloped. Citizens are as well off as in any country, but dozens of its towns are only shells of their previous prosperous selves. Over development, has taken a back step, helping to preserve the classic colonial villages.
