home > United States > Colorado > Colorado Springs

Two distinct features of the city attract visitors to Colorado Springs – its natural beauty and the national institutions among them are the United States Air Force Academy and the Olympic Training Centre. The scenic attractions are the ‘Garden of the Gods’, a unique collection of red sandstone formations on Pikes Peak mountain, that towers over the city and the Royal Gorge Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the world. Hotels are no more than 10 miles from any of the city’s major attractions.

Although the town has public transportation, a lot of visitors prefer to drive. Parking and roads are good, and some of the attractions, are accessible only by car or foot or bike for the ambitious. Car rental and taxis are also available.

Colorado Springs Airport, located north of Drennan Road and east of Powers Boulevard in the southeastern part of the city. Serviced by some national airlines. Transport from the airport include taxis shuttle service and car rental.
