Trains stop at the station in Gare St-Jean about 2km southeast of the city centre, and the bus terminal is located the Halte Routière on the Esplanade des Quinconces. All the major car rental companies are represented.

Bordeaux airport is located in Mérignac 10 km out of the city centre and is served by Jet’Bus which carries passengers to the train station or place Gambetta.
