home > United States > New Jersey > Atlantic City

As the lyrics of the song go, ‘The old grey mare, she ain’t what she used to be..” Sadly, neither is Atlantic City. Once a glittering playground of the rich, famous, and wannabe’s, hard times fell when the fickle jet-setters disappeared and took her glitz with them, so now the city shines less brightly. There are measures in place to rebuild its former glory though, and gamblers still find the ageing beauty to have charms aplenty.

Blue trams and olden day 2 seater wicker rolling chairs trundle along the Boardwalk, and New Jersey Transit buses service Atlantic City and its casinos 24 hours a day.

Several domestic airlines connect Atlantic City to Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia, New York and several cities in Florida. The International airport in Philadelphia is an hour’s train ride away with links to Europe, the Caribbean and Canada.
