Nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, Aspen was "discovered" when silver miners from nearby Leadville roamed further a field opening the Smuggler Mine. Being the finest ski-resort Aspen consequently attracts the rich and famous. With 200 shops and restaurants, it is classified as the “hottest” area in the Rockies. Outside activities include all water and snow sports. The surrounding forests swarm with great trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. For the soul, there are variety of Music and Dance Festivals offered.

The Shuttles schedules and routes change with the seasons Services include free ski shuttles in winter between all four mountains, shuttles to the Aspen Music Festival, and tours to the Maroon Bells scenic area in summer.
 

Visitors who wish to fly directly into Aspen can arrange to land at Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, 3 miles northwest of Aspen on Colo. Or Denver International Airport, which offers a shuttle service to Aspen.
