Car ferries and excursion boats from Piraeus’s main harbour carry passengers to Aegina, and hydrofoils from the main harbour and Marina Zea harbour which are faster, but about 10% more expensive, also serve the island. Buses and taxis are available, and bicycles and mopeds are can be rented. Organised tours are also available and offer various options. Ferry and boat excursions are available.

Eleftherios Venizelos is the closest airport to Aegina and is located in Athens. From the airport there is a shuttle bus to the Port of Piraeus, and taxi service, and at Piraeus several ferries and hydrofoils are waiting to whisk you away to the beautiful Island of Aegina.
